Research notes for a new academic homepage

A first note about turning a personal homepage into a small research archive rather than a static resume.

The best academic homepage is not only a list of credentials. It is a maintained surface that helps other people understand what questions you care about, what kind of work you do, and how your projects connect.

For this first version, the site keeps the core academic materials close to the writing system:

  • research areas and projects live in structured data;
  • longer notes live in MDX;
  • life notes stay shorter and more visual;
  • the PDF CV remains the formal artifact.

That split keeps the homepage readable while making it easier to update over time.
